As part of her work with SkillsSource, Victoria helped to guide research undertaken by the Greater Trail Community Skills Centre for a project known as Working Opportunities for Women in which we undertook research and worked with key stakeholders to develop a five year strategic plan to support the entry and retention of women in non-traditional roles in the resource and construction sectors. Victoria’s knowledge of the field, including its key players, as well as her understanding of good research methodology ensured an effective and engaged planning process which was subsequently led to a number of new and exciting initiatives in our West Kootenay region involving women, employers, educators and other key players in the region.
